Youngsters Raise Cash

10 December 2009: Romy Fryer, 9, from Friars Gardens, Hughenden Valley, has raised £100 for The Horse Trust by organising a sponsored dog walk.
Romy, who regularly visits The Horse Trust sanctuary in Speen, Buckinghamshire, was keen to help the horses at the sanctuary.
"Romy loves visiting The Horse Trust and has a pony Molly. She loves all animals - it's her big passion in life," said Eva Fryer, Romy's mum.
The family visited The Horse Trust last weekend to drop off the sponsorship money.
For the sponsored walk, Romy, her 11-year-old brother Joel, her father Richard and her friend Annabelle Whiting, 9, walked the family's two dogs Cleo and Indy from their home in Hughenden Valley to the headquarters of the Hearing Dogs for the Deaf People charity in Saunderton - a seven mile walk. Romy has also raised money for the Hearing Dogs charity in the past.
"We would like to thank Romy for her hard work in organising this walk and raising much-needed funds for the sanctuary," said Susan Lewis, marketing and fundraising manager for The Horse Trust. "To organise this on her own is an impressive achievement for a 9 year old!"
