Reprieve for Rescued Horses
While the future of the horses and donkeys in the Spindles Farm case remains in the balance, today’s Court decision to postpone both the return of the claimed “pet animals” to the Gray family and the sale of others has been hailed as good news by The Horse Trust.
Deputy District Judge Kainth has suspended his original order pending the RSPCA’s appeal to the High Court for permission to take possession of all the rescued animals.
“We commend his courage in taking this decision – which led to applause in the Court – and welcome the fact that we shall be able to continue caring for these animals and promote their return to full health. It is a victory for common sense,” said Horse Trust director and resident veterinary surgeon Paul Jepson.
