Clinical awards provide specialist training in equine clinical subjects to veterinary surgeons in the UK. Applications are invited from UK citizens whose degree is registerable with the RCVS of European equivalent and who intend to work in the equine field in the UK after the period of the award. These awards are granted to:

• Diploma Candidates who will already be enrolled with the RCVS of European equivalent and who will have progressed to the point of applying for final approval of experience and permission to sit an entry to the forthcoming examination
• Fellowship by Thesis Candidates who are registered with the RCVS and whose proposed course of study and title of their thesis must have been approved by the Fellowship Board

Clinical awards will normally be tenable for up to 12 months. (Any extension on that period will be subject to review).

Applications must be submitted by 1st May each year.
