16.1hh bay mare born 1992

 Burniston profile

Burniston is an Irish Draught cross mare.  She joined the Army in 1996 as a Household Division Charger.  Burniston and has taken part in all ceremonial duties.  She has been the Parade Commander's horse for Trooping the Colour, with a different rider each year.

Affectionately known as the Infantry Officers best friend, she knew the drills and commands of the parade so well and often helped out her riders by knowing exactly when to move off and where to stand still!
