36 inches skewbald gelding born 2012

Hamish before (above), and after fully recovered (below)

Hamish is a miniature Shetland pony who was dumped in a field in Bedfordshire. He was found alone and in agony by an off duty RSPCA Animal Collection Officer who took him in and cared for him until he was fit to travel.

After a couple of weeks tiny Hamish was taken to the Royal Veterinary College where vets discovered the appalling extent of his injury. Hamish had a fractured pelvis. The Horse Trust then stepped in to pay for Hamish’s emergency veterinary care and pledged to provide him with a safe home for the rest of his life. Hamish is sweet natured and affectionate and loves cuddles. After months of box rest and specialist care, he has made significant progress.  He is a huge character and has captured the hearts of many.
