Jolly

Jolly arrived at The Horse Trust in October 2012. Jolly joined us all the way from the Ebony Horse Club in Brixton. The Ebony Horse Club is a charity which helps disadvantaged children and young people in South London by giving them access to horse riding and outdoor activities. Jolly was a much-loved resident at Ebony Horse Club. During his time with the Club, Jolly competed in dressage and showing championships. He even came 3rd in the school dressage championships at Hickstead.

At only 7 years old, Jolly has come to the Home of Rest for Horses due to arthritis. It was recommended by Ebony Horse Club’s vet that Jolly take respite for several months as he can no longer cope with riding school work. After some well deserved rest in his beautiful new field, Jolly was checked again by our vet to see if he will be able to return to light ridden work. As Jolly’s condition did not improve he was fully retired to us here at The Horse Trust.
