How the Dogs Helped the Horses?
A donation of £700 has been received by The Home of Rest for Horses, the oldest horse charity in the world, from Romayne Phillips
and members of the Hemel Hempstead branch of The British Association of German Shepherd Dogs who meet at Nash Mills Village Hall every
Tuesday evening.
By selling dog biscuits and treats during meetings at the "Club Shop" Romayne raised £625 with the club contributing a further £75.
Mrs Susan Lewis of The Home of Rest for Horses expressed her delight, "This gift is amazing. To think with a little thoughtful effort Romayne and
the members of the club have raised a sum of money which will make a difference to horses everywhere", she said. "The Home relies totally on donations
and legacies to fund its work."
The Home is very grateful that Romayne is not only a lover of German Shepherd Dogs but also a passionate horse lover.
