Can Anyone Out There Help Lucky?
The Home of Rest for Horses in Buckinghamshire is appealing for £500 to help rehabilitate ponies like Lucky.
This distressed little pony, abandoned in a field suffering from anaemia, poor liver function, starvation and muscle wastage, was rescued on Friday January 13 and brought to her new home.
"She has had to have a jolly good bath to clean her up, improve her condition and make her feel a whole lot better," said Paul Jepson, Veterinary Director of The Home.
"But she would have enjoyed the experience far more had we had the luxury of heat lamps to dry her off as warmly and quickly as possible but they cost £500 for a set of four.
"Heat lamps also help elderly horses requiring therapeutic care, when extra warmth can make a significant difference to the temperature in their winter stables."
If anybody can help please contact The Home of Rest for Horses on 01494 488464 or e-mail susan@homeofrestforhorses.co.uk

This pony's chances are very good and with a lot of TLC she has many long happy years to look forward to with her new friends in the Chiltern Hills.
