Friends Reunited
Joshua from The Horse Rangers has been reunited with old team mate Jack at The Home of Rest for Horses, Westcroft Stables in Buckinghamshire.
For 15 years Joshua, now a 21-year-old, 15.2 hand, dark bay gelding, worked tirelessly for The Horse Ranges at Hampton Court. This youth movement is a uniformed
organisation for able bodied and special needs children and adults are associated with and interested in horsemanship.
Shirley Abbott, yard manager of The Home said: "Sadly Joshua’s arthritis had become too severe for him to continue working with the Horse Rangers. However, we are
delighted to offer him a relaxing retirement and the chance to catch up with his best mate, Jack, who came to us last year."
The Horse Rangers is a self-supporting, non-profit-making voluntary organisation and The Home has also given them £500 to purchase much-needed rugs for their
25 horses.
Rebecca Evans, Grants Manager, said: "This is the second year we have helped the Rangers. Last year we contributed towards the purchase of numnahs."
