Horse Owners' Seminar moves to Cirencester
Following last year's very successful inaugural Horse Owners’ Day, the 2007
event organised by the British Equine Veterinary Association Trust in conjunction with The Horse
Trust, is to be held at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, on Wednesday 11 April.
The day provides an opportunity for horse owners, riders and those responsible for the health
and wellbeing of horses to benefit from the expertise of a wide range of highly renowned speakers,
including both veterinary and equestrian experts. Last year's event was very well received and
delegates really appreciated the wealth of practical, and topical, advice on all aspects of horse ownership.
The programme will be presented in two sessions. The first, 'Buying a Horse' will include what to look
for when choosing a horse, the pre-purchase veterinary examination, economic aspects of ownership and first
aid advice. The afternoon session, 'Maintaining a Horse' will focus on insurance, infectious diseases,
parasite control, fitness and farriery.
All speakers are highly regarded experts with a great deal of experience in presenting technical information
in an easy to understand manner. The intention of the meeting is to supply really practical help to anybody
involved in horse ownership.
The BEVA Trust organises this event as part of its remit to provide veterinary education to the horse owning public.
The full-day event costs only £35.00, including lunch.
