27/06/2015 Armed Forces Day 2015

Thanks for your support!

Armed Forces Day was a great chance to show your support for the men and women who form the Armed Forces community. These include currently serving troops, to service families, veterans and cadets.

Thank you to all who showed their support and joined us this year. Zulu and Union thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone who visited the stand. These handsome old boys both served as Cavalry Blacks with the Blues and Royals and were hugely popular in the regiment. Union, or Onion as he's affectionately known, was a particular favourite to be the Standard Bearer's horse on parade because of his hovercraft smooth sitting trot, the only slight problem is that he always had his tongue sticking out, even when riding directly behind Her Majesty!  These two were completely inseparable on the day and only took time apart when Zulu spotted the staff had treats for all their hard work!

Showing support for the Armed Forces provides a much valued morale boost for the troops and their families. You can find out more about what they are doing at home and around the world by visiting the official sites of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.

Thank you again to all our staff, volunteers, Union and Zulu for your help on the day!

See you next year!
