Visitor Car Park Steward
The Horse Trust requires an enthusiastic candidate who would like to be involved in assisting our valued visitors. The Home of Rest for Horses is open to the public from 2pm to 4pm on Thursdays through to Sundays during the summer months (April – October) and Fridays through to Sunday during the winter. In addition to this the Home will also be open on Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day). Hours of work are 1.00pm – 5.00pm
Role Responsibility:
As a steward you will be helping in all manner of ways including, but not limited to:
Car Park Stewarding, receiving parking fees Directing visitors Providing general guidance to visitors Opening and closing of walkways Prompt evacuation of site at closing time
The ideal candidate must be 18 years or over and preferably with previous experience in public services but not essential as training will be provided. It is essential you have excellent communication and people skills, along with an approachable and friendly manner, and always uphold a professional, authoritative attitude. The ability to handle the occasional difficult visitor would also be advantageous.
This role would require the candidate to be comfortable working around horses and dogs.
